Job Summary:

As an Area Sales Manager, you have an overall responsibility for sales and customer development of Commercial Customers, Industrial Users, End Users and Consulting Engineers in an assigned sales territory and account list. You provide customer value through technical and commercial expertise and engineering knowledge.


  • Make and achieve assigned sales and customer development quota through focus on commercial customer acquisition and development.
  • Manage the region’s (Gujarat, parts of Maharashtra and parts of Madhya Pradesh) and the existing or new channel partners in that region towards the targets established (with weekly updates).
  • Screen the market opportunities via the customers and the agent’s network.
  • Perform according to company strategy in terms of customer channels, product mix and selling level.
  • Encourage customer growth and loyalty through continuous support and customer assistance.
  • Develop and implement business and account sales.
  • Sell day to day activities i.e. identifying sales opportunities, organizing, proposals, asking for and acquiring orders.
  • Co-ordinate with other processes to ensure high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Keep customer and Channel partners data base updated with monthly Quarterly and yearly targets and Achievements.
  • Report sales territory performances on a Monthly basis.
  • Keep updated on product changes.


  • Technical degree in Mechanical Engineering; an extra degree in Sales & Marketing is a plus.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering Industry.
  • Basics of market analyses.
  • Local HVAC or Technical Services market knowledge is a plus.
  • Market intelligence and understanding competition.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Proven selling skills with ability to deliver sales results.
